Are there any OSHA restrictions regarding heat conditions in WVCSD schools? I know some of those buildings are not air conditioned.
While there are no OSHA regulations regarding heat conditions, steps are taken during periods of extremely warm weather to ensure the safety and comfort of our students. For example, fans are utilized to provide cross-ventilation, shades are lowered, classrooms are moved to lower floors or other cooler areas of a building and students are encouraged to stay hydrated and given plenty of opportunities to drink water.
